Assessment
The assessment of the subject comprises two papers and it would be conducted entirely as an e-paper. The medium of this syllabus is Chinese. Students are to answer all questions in Chinese, apart from the translations into English in Paper 1.
Paper 1: CL-EL (100 marks / 50%; duration: 3 hours)
Section A: One question on short text translation (15 marks);
Section B: Extended text translation (25 marks); Commentary question (10 marks)
Section C:
One question on error analysis and critique (15 marks)
Section D: One question on comparative criticism (35 marks)
Paper 2: EL-CL (100 marks / 50%; duration: 3 hours)
Section A: One question on short text translation (15 marks);
Section B: (a) Extended text translation (25 marks) ; (b) Commentary question (10 marks)
Section C: One question on error analysis and critique (15 marks)
