Mother Tongue Languages Syllabus B

In Syllabus B, the classroom experience aims to help students learn to communicate confidently in MTL. Through the effective use of ICT/media, with reference to authentic as well as the bilingual teaching approaches, where EL is used in the initial learning stage, students will experience the joy in learning the language. Students will also be given opportunities to participate in enrichment programmes beyond the classroom, such as the MTL Fortnight, Xinyao Song Singing and Writing Competition etc.

Assessment

Paper 1: Composition (50min) 20%, E-Examination
Paper 2: Language Usage (1hr) 30%, Multiple Choice Questions, E-Examination
Paper 3: Oral Examination 35%
Paper 3: Listening Comprehension 15%
