Open House
On the morning of 13 January 2025, the gates of JPJC were opened to the public, and streams of prospective students and their parents eagerly entered the college to attend the highly anticipated #whyJP Open House. Our JPFam was equally excited, keen to show off the college and the exciting activities. The Open House aimed to immerse visitors in the JPJC experience, allowing them to make informed decisions for the next chapter of their academic journey.
Upon entering, visitors were warmly welcomed at the registration table by our enthusiastic student leaders whose friendly smiles set the tone for an engaging day ahead. From there, they could choose their own adventure: join a guided tour to explore the campus, head to the hall to learn more about subject selection, or interact with students to discover the wide variety of co-curricular activities available at JPJC.
One of the highlights was the CCA Showcase, featuring captivating performances that highlighted the incredible talent of our students. Visitors were treated to vibrant displays by the Malay Language Elective Programme, Concert Band, Chinese Orchestra, Guitar Ensemble, Choir, JP Dance Club, and the energetic Taekwondo Team, offering a glimpse into the dynamic and inclusive college community.
At the #WhyJP Open House, Principal Mr. Kevin Ang emphasised why JPJC stands out as a top choice for junior college, highlighting its quality education and diverse programmes for holistic development. Visitors also explored the Academic and Subject Combination Showcase in the hall, where teachers provided guidance on the JC curriculum and elective programmes, including JPJC’s signature Chinese and Malay Language Elective Programmes.
Special Programmes and Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) booths across the Concourse, Hall, and Canteen showcased a wide range of opportunities available in JPJC. Dynamic performances by performing arts CCAs offered a glimpse into the vibrant extracurricular life. These experiences inspired visitors to envision themselves as part of the #JPFam and the exciting journey ahead at JPJC.
The #WhyJP Open House 2025 showcased JPJC’s vibrant spirit, holistic education, and welcoming community. Visitors experienced the energy of student life, engaged with passionate staff and students, and explored the diverse academic and extracurricular opportunities. By the end of the day, they left the Open House inspired and confident, ready to join a college that nurtures growth, fosters talent, and empowers the leaders of tomorrow.
